Default British Trucks in Wehrmacht service/New book

Hi Guys,

Last weekend I bought the book "Britische LKW im Diensten der Wehrmacht" from Jochen Vollert (Tankograd publishing).

Like the title says, it is about british trucks in german service and provides several terrific pictures on 64 pages. It has seperate chapters for: Dunkirk, Austin-Wolsely-Humber, Morris, Bedford, Albion, Austin, Commer-Ford-Morris, Karrier-Leyland-Thornycroft-Crossley-Guy, AEC, Albion and one for Scammel.

I have no connection with Vollert or Tankograd, but I just wanted you to inform you about this book, because this subject has been discussed a few times on this forum.

Alex

Hi Alex:
I got the book several weeks ago. It is excellent in coverage, number of photos etc. and most all of the photos will be new to this group. Also has English translations for text and photos.

If the subject is of interest to anyone here, it is a must have.
Bill

Sadly Attilio, no.
Virtually all photos are taken in France and then in the Russian campaign. I do not remember even one taken in Afrika.
Still very worthwhile even if a little limited in coverage.
Cheers
Bill

Default Tankograd books

Folks,
I recall reading in the "Military Modelling" review of the book, that a second one is planned to cover Africa.
Best regards
