Default Italy then and Now

HI everyone.

I found this interesting website and just thought I would post the link here. I can't read Italian but the website shows some wartime pictures with the modern day comparison.

Enjoy.

Ché Web site fabulouso!

Coincidence. I'm in the middle of reading "The Fifth Army at War" by Col. George Forty. The Fifth Army was the most international of all the Allies armies, being comprised of British, Canadian, New Zealand, South African, Ghurka, Indian, Brazilian, French, and Italian units. Many of the pictures in your web site are similar to pics in the book. Unfortunately my scanner has packed it in as there is a pic of a armoured command car of the British 7th Armoured Division being loaded onto an LST for Operation Avalanche. I've never seen such a vehicle and would have liked to scan it for posting on MLU for identification. Thanks for the interesting link!

CHIMO!
