Thumbs up Bivouac 2017 Odessa, Kingston, ON- Good News!

This is to announce that we have negotiated for the use of the Odessa Fairground site again for 2017 - so Bivouac 2017 will be the weekend of August 18th, 19th, 20th, 2017 - make sure to reserve those dates all those within reach of Kingston, Ontario.

We are looking to make this the best Bivouac yet - 50 vehicles is our target plus re-enactors - we hope to have "Bart" the Sherman again. Lots of room for driving around. Camping with toilets and shower available - you can even arrive on the Thursday to camp if you wish and make it a long weekend for the family with lots to do in the Kingston area.

This year "bangs" should be allowed!!

We'll keep you posted - just want to make sure that you reserve that weekend for us!

That would make 6 possible mules....that has to be some type of record for Canada.

Throw in a Ferret and a Mutt and it is starting to sound more like an agricultural show than and MV event

And maybe a lynx and a cougar, maybe a Zoo...
I guess I need to get a move on then.
Mule #1 is under surgery in the shop. All the pieces are there just a matter of cleaning, blasting, painting and then some assembly required!
Mule #2, my beater, doesn't look like much but runs like a top and will get the restoration treatment one of these days. Maybe once Number 1 comes out of the shop.
On the other hand, maybe I should just go buy another one that is already done

Default Friends from the USA

Would be great if we could get some attendance from our US brethren - e.g. via the Thousand Islands bridge or even the Wolfe Island ferry. Anyone know contacts - or anyone over the border seeing this thread?

Great News,
We are currently drumming up members of our re-enactor group to come this year. D-Day Conneaut Ohio is the same weekend, but we should be able to bring some of our WW2 Jeeps and CMP along with some of us to stay the weekend in the encampment as re-enactors.

I'll have either my USMC Humvee or ISAF Iltis present. Depends on which one is operational at that time- typically the Iltis is the reliable one of the two. lol
