Default Radio box

I just bought this box and it appears to be a box for a radio. There were some spare valves in the small compartment. Does anyone know if what it is for?

Thanks
Darren

Its not a radio box. It's a chest for a mine detector No.4.

Default I knew..

..you'd know what it was. And you have a manual on it.

Interesting but useless piece of equipment.
