Default Cast ground anchors

Looking for some cast ground anchors - they are supposed to be WWII possibly Canadian style. Same as Australian.

Thanks

There are a small mountain of those, including the stakes that go through them, in their original boxed out at the local milsurp yard here in Manitoba. If you are still looking come spring, shoot me a PM.

Default steaks ....stakes..... whatever....

Hi Rob

I would be interested in a set as well....... they could be shipped freight to my place and I could take them across the border to Mr Smith in one of my frequent UPS run to Upper New York.

Any idea of price plus shipping shrink wrapped on a skid ..?

Bob

Perhaps we can move them by the MLU express. I will be going to St Catherines, hopefully on Victoria weekend, with my truck and trailer to pick up stuff I am buying from Dennis Walker. I could get them to that neck of the woods, perhaps Jordan Baker, and they could find their way from there.

I'll have to check with the owner as to the cost.

Default Cast Ground Anchors

Rob et al... Thanks for the info. I need 8 sets of the cast type (with 2 shackles each?) - will take pins too (64) if they are the hex type with eye in the top.

Much appreciate the quick replies.

When you say 8 sets are you meaning 16 anchors? I believe each crate comes with a pair but I'll have to open a crate to be sure.

I think I have seen some of the support spades out there like are in the side of your photo.

The Australian ones come in a crate containing one complete kit. Viz, one anchor and eight pins. Very heavy.

Phillip
Your observation may well be correct for the ones here too. As I mentioned, I have never opened a crate.

I have been meaning to pick up a couple of them myself, so this should all work out. I'll advise the price once I get outu there and see what kind of deal I can get.

Funny story: Last year I got a call to come down to the armoury and help them clean out all their redundant stock in the garage. (note: for the museum, not for me personally). There were 2 of these propped up under the stairwell leading to the second floor. They had no idea what they were for. When I explained it, they decided to keep them.
