Default Strange M7 'Priest'

Well, the basic vehicle is familiar but the attachment certainly isn't. It looks to be a second 'pulpit' removed from another 'Priest' and mounted as some sort of cradle support. Any thoughts? Found on LAC, from the 19th Field Regiment, RCA, taken in France.

Cheers, Dave

It's a spare road wheel!

Default Looks to me like...

...the second "pulpit" is actually a bogie wheel. From the low angle of the photo I think there is a bit of an optical illusion going on here, where perhaps this wheel is resting on some carrier on the rear deck of a Priest "in front" of the one where the fellow is standing?

Bill.

Default OMG, you're right

Of course! It looked larger because it was in the foreground, talk about not seeing the forest for the trees! Gotta get that cataract fixed soon. Hey, at least it gave me practice in adding attachments. This has got to be one of the easiest (for me) forums for doing that (tip of the hat to Geoff).

Thanks, Dave

The wheel is just resting on the front right fender of the M7. A small frame has being welded in place to hold it and other storage.
