Location of Variometer on a late Ram Kangaroo?

Can anyone help me out here please. I am trying to build a model of a late Ram Kangaroo and need to know the location of the Variometer of a No. 19 radio set.
I have one stowage diagram but it shows the radio set covered so it is not ontop of the set. Was it to the right of the set as you look at it or attached to the underside of the upper hull?
