Rob,

Anything you wish to share? Don is an Ex-Guards and I hope that he is well!

Default Cart Before the Horse

Clive,

I heard rumours that he was admitted to the hospital for unknown causes. Short of calling every krankenhaus in Ottawa, I hoped that Mike would fill in any details - supposing of course that his jungle drum network is working better than mine. More to fol.

Default Don's Sitrep

Clive/Mike and interested parties,

CWO (Ret'd) Don Reibin suffered a stroke. It was enough to get him admitted to hospital last month and he now a patient in the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre. I called his bedside number (613-737-7350 extension 75005) but he did not answer. I contacted the operator at the centre and she mentioned that he was out for the evening with one of his daughters - so that says alot about his progress in my non-medical mind.

The centre could not tell me about his situation of course, but characters like Don don't wallow in self-pity and look at events such as these as obstacles to be overcome.

I encourage those who know him to try and contact him tomorrow during usual business hours. I'll try again then. If you beat me to the punch, please post the general results of your conversation. In the meanwhile, my wishes for a speedy recovery are first and foremost.
