wanted: 1" cotton webbing
needed for a sewing project .. the modern replacement stuff is either a polyester or nylon material ..looks like plastic. I need a roll of the old style thick cotton stuff ...but it's proving not easy to find.

Old Cotton Webbing
Some years back, I picked up a couple of rolls of cotton webbing. I am sure I still have a roll somewhere.
Depending on quantity and color, I may be able to help. I will dig it up and try to get you more info. Guy |

Try:
Mitchell's Adventure 134 Russell St Melbourne VIC 3000 (03) 9654 5785 They used to have rolls of the stuff just inside the door.

righto
Ta . I'm half way through sewing up a new top for a 1950 Land Rover .. they used the standard 1" brass buckles as seen on many military items ... satchels and many other applications e.g. straps and so on ..
I've salvaged a few buckles from some WW2 water bottle holders..marked with the Canadian C and arrow ( yes, I ripped em apart ) ... the local aussie disposals sells em for $1 ! They also seem to have a endless supply of those bren magazine pouches ... they must have bought thousands of them . Mike
