Are these for a MK1 or Mk2 carrier?

My guess is the front plate is later mark 1, while the rear plate and the gas tank straps are mk2.

Rob,
The rear plate & straps came off this "ready to restore" carrier perhaps you can pick out some details that will identify the series. The front plate came from an other carrier that I pieced back together about 30 years ago.

The small pile of carrier is mk2 as evidenced by the lack of the two rectangular holes on each side of the diff. Also, the rear plate offered does not have as many holes in it as a mk1 plate might have. The gas tank straps are definitely mk2 as they use a bolt to tighten them as opposed to the turnbuckles of the mk1 straps.

The front plate does not show signs of the holes for the roadwheel mount. As well, there is the shadow of the missing cast wire protector on the remaining front armour plate for a right headlamp....a sure sign of a mk1. Since the front plate does not appear to have the hole for the horn, or the holes for the crowbar brackets, I say it is for a mk1 after serial 3000 or so.

Those are my hunches.
