Total fabrication, and riddled with inaccuracies, vis a vis a commercial traveler witnessing this in Trenton (there is no commercial terminal)...it's a military base.
Also, the quote of being due home soon, having been in country for 11 months, is not Canadian Forces policy for deployments...it's 6 months for CF. This "heart-wrenching" story is pure myth, originating perhaps in the States, but now is ramped up to the status of urban legend.
