Default Greate Video

Hi Jordon

Thanks for sharing the link. Wonder if they have a version with just the quartet of Merlin's as music? But really they did a very good job of giving us who enjoy the sound of those lovely engines, the sound track music was well done in setting the tone of who the video was dedicated to.

Going to put link in our club newsletter with a teaser photo to ask the questions Name the Aircraft? Identify the location?

Cheers Phil

Default fantastic

Could this be done here in the UK ?????????

Converting famous aircraft to carry fee paying clients, this would raise money to help keep these "warbirds" flying and other restoration work.

Guess not, too many HSE and other barriers to having fun.

George.

Default Rides

I think it is a case of making a sizable donation and joining the Hamilton assoc. and getting a ride as a member as opposed to a ride for fee which might be more difficult. I was there in 2000 and took the ride in the Harvard, I only had the one day and that wasn't a day the Lanc was flying or it would have been on the visa for sure!

Great news, Stuart! Thanks for posting.

IIRC, the Nanton Lancaster in Alberta is now being restored to fully operational ground capability, having recently received a structural clean bill of health. Perhaps, down the road, it will join the Hamilton Lanc in the skys over Canada.
