Carrier trivia question No. 1 MKI* model clarified
Where is the oil can opener (piercer) on the MKI* carrier ?
Better described as a can piercer, it is a device permanently mounted in combination with another item thereby serving a dual purpose. Not for the reusable one gallon container, but for piercing "one time use" disposable, all metal cans. Cans similar to the attached image. Last edited by Michael R.; 18-05-13 at 22:27. |

cold
I wonder if it was a design that was retained from the original machines, with no reason to eliminate the dual function or purpose design. Given the stowage would include a reusable one gallon SAE30 oil container, there may be little call for opening one quart metal oil cans in the field.

no one got the point
Well, no one got the point. Neither did I.
It was Stew Robertson who "pointed" it out to me. Hats off to Stew. |
