Default Universal Carriers Vol2

I am puting the final touches to this volume which will be launched at War and Peace in July for those of you going or not! There are a couple of pictures/details I still require and I was hoping someone out there may help.
1. T16 Tool Layout (my copy of this page is really poor).
2. Up to date list of LP Carrier numbers and quantities (Bob?)
3. Photos and details of the 4.2" Mortar Trailer.

And the answer to a question. Did the 6pdr AT gun ever have/use a jockey wheel similar to the later all metal 1 ton trailer version?

Lastly I would like to officially announce that the MLU member who will have the honour! of his vehicle on the cover is Stewart Loy.

Nigel

Good god.... I hope it's just his carrier and not him!! Not to say that Stewart's not cute (as I am instructed to emphasize), but all of the femmes fatales who are lurking on the Forum looking for husbands might be devastated!! ERGH...

Anyway, great stuff Nigel! I look forward to adding it to my collection (Loy or naught).

A great quote from 'Year of the Carrier': "Hehe... no women..."

Nigel,

Good to hear that everything is coming along fine. I think I can help you with the picture of the T16 tool layout. I will email you a scan of the TM tomorrow and you can judge if it's good enough.

And what will it be at Beltring.....John's AA gun in an emplacement?

Need anyone to carry boxes of books around

Alex

Oh.... The Conger project is up and running again as well. I hope to have some material ready for your third volume!

Default Book help

Hi Alex

Carrier and car will be down this year in a wee set up based on an MMG carrier photo that's in Vol 2. The Middlesex Diehards will be aboard the carrier with the Vickers.

Pam will be down manning, or should that be womanning the book table in the Victory Marquee (model tent!!) so yes any help with book transfers greatly appreciated. Will be down sat before.

Excellent news Nigel. I've been waiting for this volume. I bought a copy of Vol 1 from you in that muddy tent at last years Beltring. I got it home dry. I hope to meet you again this year.

Cheers,
Bod

Default More details please Oz people!

Does anyone know the Unladen weight of the Carrier 3-inch (Aust)? Also track width centre to centre, and outer edge to outer edge? And nearly lastly the width of trench it can cross and the turning circle? None of this appears in any of the handbooks etc. so can you go and measure them for me please from those great machines you have tucked away in sheds in the back of beyond, all 400 of them!!!

Thanks
Nigel
