Default Canadian Markings on CDLV-242

The completion of MB118729's restoration is getting closer and I need some help deciding what markings to apply. Unfortunately I haven't the original hood or windshield in which to determine formation/unit signs or census number.
Any suggestions based on such an early frame number?

Default markings

Hello Leigh

I do not have anything on file pertaining to your vehicle.

I believe at some point you indicated it originated in the UK. As such yours would have the WD number and markings of an overseas Unit.

So now you have to make a decisions of a Unit you wish to honor, or you can keep it as an unissued vehicle and only have the CMD number painted on it.

By chance do you have the engine number for it?

Thanks
Eric

Thanks Eric, not an original number, I think it was you that helped me estimate an engine number (and date) for my repro data plates.

I think I'd like to show the vehicle using the early 2nd Canadian division, the one with the CII in the maple leaf, would that be correct?
Still not sure what unit marking it could be portrayed to belong to, but I do have an idea about a CM421xxxx WD hood number I'd like to use
