HUPC Radiators
I am restoring a HUP that was in parts when I bought it. The rad is so badly deteriorated that even the reservoir is toast and wouldn't hold gravel never mind water. I need to get an old rad that has a reservoir worth re-coring. My question is: will a Ford rad fit in a Chev HUP when re-cored??? There is lots of old Ford CMP's around here but Chevies are scarce. Hope someone can help me with this info. Many tks, Bill Spence

chev radiator
Unfortunatly the Ford radiator is a lot thicker , and fills everything under the bonnet . As well do ford have 4 hose conections , instead of the 2 on a chev one .
But if you need a Chev one , I can get hold of one here in Holland. |

Whenever you're looking for mechanical parts for these old CMP's the first thing to do is go look at a civilian truck. I just compared the rads on a 46 two ton GMC and my 43 HUP and the core and tanks are the same. The side mounting brackets that solder onto the tanks look different but that"s easy to change.

Civilian Chev Truck
I believe that the same vintage civilian radiator is the same. I found one on e-bay. I have not mounted it in the CMP radiator mount but I'll try and check it tomorrow to see if it is truly identical to the CMP.

Chevy rads
This guy has a likely looking "passenger" rad under his Chevy listings, but wants pretty big $$
