Ford heating (cold weather equipment)

HELLO ALL
DOES ANYBODY KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE FORD HEATING STSTEM I HAVE THE FAN THAT BLEW THE HOT AIR AND I AM TOLD IT BLEW ACCROSS THE MANIFOLD IF SO A LEAKY MANIFOLD COULD BE SOMEWHAT OF A HAZARD I WOULD THINK I HAVE A MERCURY V8 ENGINE AND CANNOT SEE ANY TAKE OFF FOR WATER
