Default Odd sightings on the forum

Hi Geoff and others

I have noticed some odd things happening on the forum over the past few weeks.

Sometimes the main MLU forum page shows old postings as new (they have bolded text) When I click on them there hasn't been anything new for a few days or so.

Other times when I hit the back button on my browser I get a MLU forum bulletin saying that the forum has been taken down but should be back up soon. I hit refresh or the back button again and it is gone.

Im wondering if its my computer using old "history" caches or something similar but Ive cleaned them up and they are still doing this occasionaly. I should stress that it doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough to be annoying.

Any ideas, have others noticed this or am I the lucky one

Jordan,

I suggest that you try just a drop less rum in your eggnog. Perhaps you will stop "seeing things".

But speaking of seeing things: I hear that you might get to be the first one to see the newest C15a truck tarp when you come over on Saturday morning.

Mate I would say that not all of the old history was deleted. Did you delete the cookies or just the history? I suggest you do both again.

Right now its not doing it at all. But other times some of the postings highlighted at new are weeks old.

Next time it happens I will get a screen grab to show the message.

Im not really a drinker (gasp, the horror of it with you lot) but perhaps its been from all the rubber casting that ive been doing at home in my room.

Just read a new thread on the OMVA winter show. I hit my back button on the browser and the following screen is what I got.

When I click on the MLU forum line it goes back to the normal forum main page and everything is fine.

Methinks Cliff is right, Jordan... try emptying your cache again and deleting your history. I did so a while back and have had no such problems.

As for strange things happening on the forum, this is the first time in four days that I have been able to see the forum. I was getting:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems

More information

This site is the only one that I have had problems with. Is anyone else having trouble?

Paul
