Identify aerial mount
Got this with some 19 set parts and would like to find what it works with
On the botton is "MOULDED INSULATION CO. PHILA NAF 48134 - 10" The aerial with it looks like a 19 set B aerial but can be tightened on with a nut on the bottom. Any one help please. ??? Peter Simundson Last edited by peter simundson; 05-03-21 at 16:15. |

Too many fasteners to be British, or ground-based, I think. I suspect it's off an aircraft.

Peter.
I think Chris is headed in the right direction. The Molded Insulation Company was an electronics firm in Philadelphia. They were involved with military equipment during the war and ended up with an extensive line of Bakelite/plastic mantle radios post war. NAF - This is the Naval Aircraft Factory, also based in Philadelphia. So this item would indeed seem to be intended for naval aircraft use. David |
