Default Painting Question

I have a Question regarding painting a Canadian M151A2 that I have been restoring , the body is primed and ready to paint .What I am wondering is if I should lay down a few coats of olive drab on the entire body and than when camoflaging the truck use the pee green and black to finish up ? I noticed when painting the Cdn M38 "s a base coat of olive is sprayed than the camoflage is sprayed .Would this not be the same for the A2 ?
