Default Australian carrier

I picked up and Aussie carrier this week. Full under carriage, tracks, rear end. Rolls easily. Hull has been cut down. No engine and lots of missing parts, but the start of something, I am sure. Pictures will be up on my website shortly.

Default Number

If the main data plate near the drivers position is missing it is also stamped on a piece of angle just above the diff inside the hull. This applies to LP2 and 2A.

So you'll be looking for manuals and parts lists, then?

The Aust MG carrier is unique in many ways: little from an English carrier will fit or is appropriate anyway, so looks like you'll be making lots of new friends in Australia while seeking spares and fittings!!

There is also my book on the Aust LP carriers to be considered, if you want some history of the type. Email me if you want a copy and I'll work out postage, etc,

Wonder how an Aussie cut-down carrier came to be in the USA?

Default Oz Carrier

Hi John - it took a little time to find it especially as it is under the For Sale category. As Keith said you should find the Carrier ID on that ledge on the rear hull. I have a database of all Oz Carriers so I would be interested in your details. The one you restored is of course a British Carrier.

I've been to your website but don't see the new carrier pictures there.

Default Contract Number

Hi John - according to my database this Carrier was manufactured under Contract No. MOS146 probably made in 1943.
