Default Carrier hinges

Hi

I've made some patterns to cast new hinges for carriers and the locking lever for the front folding armour. They are newly made and as before allow for the shrinkage so should be the correct size once cast. They are 100% accurate for shape etc and copied from originals.

See the thread in the carrier section for a description of whats what but shown below is each individual part marked A-F. I suggest ordering them as pairs to be sure that they fit together. even allowing for shrinkage I can't be 100% sure that half a new hinge will fit perfectly with half an old hinge!! they will come with a pilot hole for the rivet hole but the pivot hole will need to be drilled by you.

The hinge sections are £10 each (£20 for a complete hinge) and the lever is £12 each. All cast in steel. I'm happy to have any of the previous parts cast whilst I'm at the foundry, pintles, fuel tank fittings etc..... see old threads for full list. A few had asked about the older parts so i thought I'd revisit them and do them all at the same time.

Happy to help if you have any questions

Ben

Ben, I would like a set of the battery box hinges. ( and two mk1 carrier gas tanks, one with no fittings, and one with all the fititings save the pick-up tube.

Looks like I have all the fittings for one complete tank, but nothing for the second tank except the pick up tubes.

Rene

Sorry I don't have them in stock, they're all made to order. I'm due to collect the current batch in a week or so, I can let you know if I do anymore?

I collected the castings from the foundry today, they look very nice and fit together well. I've offered them up to an original hinge half and they fit that too. Might make life a little easier if you don't need to replace a complete hinge.

Sample picture below.

I'm working for the next 6 days but will endeavour to sort them and get them out ASAP.

The pintles will be a little longer as they made a mistake during the pour and I've asked for them to be remade, fingers crossed I'll have them for W&P.

Ben, I didn't realize you were getting the pick head mount made. I need to add that to my order if it isn't too late!
