Loyd Instruments
I have managed to find a NOS C.A.V. Fuse box for the Loyd and start button, but I am still looking for the Ammeter and Oil Pressure gauge, the Ammeter is a CAV 5289/25A with the needle pivoted at the top. The oil gauge doesn't seem to have manufacturer ref in the parts book. I am looking for a photo showing the later style Loyd dash which would have been installed in my 44 vehicle. Pauls Loyd project and some period photos I have seen show the earlier dash, if I could see some photos I would know better what I am searching for.

Will have to coat the cover matt black, as it is post war white, all period photos show a black cover. It will be quite a while before the dash gets built up! However the floor plate and front hull plate went to the fabrication shop today, should get them back in three weeks as I am in no rush.

don't worry alastair, we're all watching but i'm afraid there's not many that can help with the more technical details as all the loyd owners in the world could probably be counted on 1 hand, so i'm afraid it's up to you to show us how it's done.
all the best eddy

Oil pressure guage is a Smiths transmitter type with 13 foot capillary tubing. Army part number is 6MT1/SM/97PG/156. You could contact Speedograph Richfield who specialise in Smiths instruments, the 97PG would be the part number and 156 denotes length of tube in inches. Speedo ....there is one listed for Loyd Personnel Carrier Mk2, this is a Smiths "T" type, non-trip to Drawing T.M.869 Army part number 6MT1/SM/ATS52 All I can come up with at present.

Give the bug**ers a rocket and get them on MLU then
Thanks for all the efforts with the photo Alex, did the show go to plan? Richard, thanks for the info, a mine of info as usual. NZ Loyds: Is it not true that most of the Loyds down there were TS&Cs that were converted to TTs later on?

Roughly 21 were TS&C and 35 were TPC.
