Guys,
At Beaulieu this last weekend, there was this late production C60L Wrecker. Nothing unusual about that, however both the drivers and passenger doors had a large lubrication plate attached to them, and a door pressing which I have never seen before (see image 2). Has anyone else seen this type of pressing before ? Keith |

Chev Door Plates
Keith,
I don't recall seeing that type of door pressing before but I have seen similar plates for the C8A, a lubrication chart and a wiring diagram (19" x 9"). Part numbers as listed in the C8A Spare Parts List from June 1945: group number 16.166 Doors Plate, Wiring Diagram 5830950 Plate, Lubrication Chart 5831562 While the lube chart is chassis specific, I seem to think the wiring diagram was generic CMP Chev. Hi Brian,
I must admit, I thought it was a rather nice touch. Any idea as to when did this type of door plate started to appear ? Keith |

Date?
Hi Keith,
The part number 5831562 is actually printed on the C8A lubrication diagram, followed by ' 3 - 28 - 45 '. Would it be safe to assume this is a date for some purpose? Brian |

another door
My brother was out on a trip to day and "found" some vehicles.
In a F60L this was one of the doors (the drivers door had "normal pressing") The Lubrcation diagram has Part No. C4980-501000 and the diagram also stated "APPLICABLE TO MODELS SHOWN BUILT AFTER JULY 1945" And is of course marked with Ford Canada Rolf |
