Default Plates, Adaptor, Carrier, No. C1

Hi -
I'm a new registree to MLU forum, as a humble signals collector with an interest in Canadian signals kit. I have a fairly rare almost complete setup for the WS 29 (Canadian), which was a late wartime designed replacement for the WS19, but a lot of extra features - higher RF power, waterproofing, auto-tuning, etc. I have copies of the manuals for the set, including the installation manual, which includes details for installation in a 'Carrier Universal Mk 2'. This indicates that the set should be mounted on a 'Plates, Adaptor, Carrier, No.C1' (ZA/CAN 2384); the text says that it is also used for mounting a 300W Chore Horse charging set generator.

This is a steel tray, 24-in by 15-in, with two folding handles 17-in in length for carrying.

Is this part known about in carrier circles, or was it specially developed for the 29 set? (as were most of the accessories for the set, like special rubber headsets, or aluminium telescopic masts, instead of the equivalent 19 set versions). A local vehicle collector has a Windsor carrier, with what looks like the special L-shaped mounting strap and thumbscrew used to mount these, in the correct location on the right sponson behind the bulkhead.

I would love to know if anyone has one of these; if only to get a proper dimensioned drawing, and/or photos of one in captivity. Having said that, if someone had one that they wanted to part with, I could give it a good home!

When I get organized, I'll post scans of pictures from the manual, in case they jog someone's memory...

Best regards
