Default wood and fittings..

Hi,
I have received very nice wood and hardware for both my No.1 MkIII and No.4 MkI from these folks: https://www.libertytreecollectors.co...?idCategory=63
They won't ship complete guns out of the US, but should not have a problem with what you need.

Closer to home, Marstar is now sorting through their sea containers of Enfield parts just in fresh from Greece. They are still pricing a lot of it, but they usually are competitive.
There is also Ebay of course....always lots of wood and parts on there.

Good to know! And good to see we will be able to get some of those parts easier than so far.

Default Furniture needed...........

Thank you to the members who responded.

I will look into the leads you have given.

**** I have had the .303 for many years.... On a recent deer hunt, one of the young pups brought in Lee Enfield he had acquired. He spent 5 days wondering if it was a shooter and worth keeping. On the last day of the hunt, a Turkey Shoot was organized. Every man would get two shots.... the best shot would win. Proper targets were set up at approxmately 40 yrds. and the shooting began. I keyholed my two shots in the bullseye.... won a 26 ounce turkey and left the camp anxious to dig up the old .303 for next years hunt. I guess you can say the .303 bit me.....

I have most (or all) of the bits to return a No.4 to arsenal condition. As we know from rebuilding old trucks, putting parts on doesn't necessarily mean complete and perfect function. Are you going to the military vehicle club supper at the Prescott Hotel on the 8th? Eightteen-thirty with your best smile and least credible stories. We wouldn't be the first guys to swap firearms between cars in the parking lot.

I am laid up at home with stiches in the knee..... they are coming out wednesday... If all is well I might be able to make it out to the Prescott Hotel..... if it is in Ottawa and have a bite to eat as I am also a bachelor for an undetermined amount of time.
