Default Cooker No.2 tins and strap

I'm in need of the 8" square tins and leather strap for a Cooker No.2 as in the pic attached. They seem to be available in the UK quite reasonably but none of the vendors are willing to ship to the colonies (Canada).

I have both one cooker and several tins in Ontario.

Tell me what you think is reasonable and I will go look them out for you.

Free delivery to Oshawa in the summer or you pay all carriage now.

Send me an EMAIL for best results

I would also be interested in a cooker and the tins for my carrier if someone has a set to spare.

I have cookers No.2's, No.3's and tins more than happy to post anywhere in this world. Do you need working cookers or just cookers that look the part?

No.2's can be found in two different versions early with front control and the later No.2m's (modified) with side burner control.

If you look about a third of the way down this page the two versions can be seen (cookers No.2's, No.3's and No.12's).

I'll take some pictures and post them up tomorrow

You could ship part-container with a household removal company - have sent stuff that way before - good for large heavy bulky items, so long as you arent in a rush as tends to take 3 to 6 months to arrive.

If you wish to be 100% original, war-time production cooking tins would have been plated steel rather than the current aluminium version which most dealers have. I can't ever remember seeing steel examples for sale in the UK.

The early version of the Number 2 Cooker also had a detachable Fuel Tank. The second pattern only came in very late war.

I've been sorting out my cookers today most of them work but I have a few that r fit for spares or rebuilding. Most of the consumable parts can still be bought as they share commonality with commercially built civilian petrol cookers.

I have given a warts and all description of the cookers on the page below. The No.2 cooker was built from the late war period up to the 1980's in the No.2 modified form.

http://www.ferret-fv701.co.uk/ferret...e_clearout.htm

The No.2 in its basic form will run on Petrol, parraffin, kerosene and diesel.

The No.2 modified will only run well on petrol that has been my experience.

In regards to posting out I have found that if you don't mind waiting sending parcels by snail mail rather than by airmail can be cheaper. The only thing I worry about is if I ask for a paypal payment the snail mail delivery time is about two months which is outside paypals protection period for the person paying for an item.

At this time I have one set of pans and a strap, if I can find that item, and they are for the original poster of this thread Bruce Parker, him of the "other" Fox type.
