Default Calling Italian members...Italian online picture achives?

Nowadays more and more local archives are sharing their pictures in online image banks.
Some of these are a goldmine of historical WW2 (vehicle) pictures.

Here in the Netherlands, there are a number of image banks that are speciafically aimed at WW2 pictures, like https://beeldbankwo2.nl/nl/
But also other imagebanks that combine pictures from different archives through one search funtion, like https://noord-hollandsarchief.nl/

Apart from these, there are several local village/city archives that have posted their pictures online. Using general search terms like "bevrijding", "Canadezen" or "Voertuigen" you can often find very interesting content.

I wonder if the same exists in Italy (and maybe also Germany, Belgium, France). Can any of our Italian members help us on this subject? Which picture archives are available online and what are appropriate search terms?

Most of the West of the Netherlands was liberated by Canadian units that were active in Italy previously, so I wonder if there are any good pictures available of vehicles used during their time in Italy etc.

Alex

Yes, those sort of pictures, Ed!

You would think that there should be similar pictures of vehicles in Italian Archives???

Here I am, Alex. I'm Italian but I'm not aware of local archives containing Canadian vehicles pictures.

You can use general searching terms like 'Canadesi Italia seconda Guerra Mondiale' (Canadinas Italy WW2), in association with places e.g. 'Sicilia', 'Ortona', 'Gemmano', 'Ravenna'.

Here are some links:

From the website 'Dal Volturno a Cassino':

1) Canadian vehicles near Cassino (Public Archives of Canada)

http://www.dalvolturnoacassino.it/as...ew.asp?id=1187

2) MK I Carrier in Sicily

http://www.dalvolturnoacassino.it/as...ew.asp?id=3045

From 'Italia1943':

And from here (look at the thhird picture):
