Default Armoured plate identification

Hello,

I have found this plate with a british tank fire extinguisher in Normandy, south of Caen, canadian sector.

I first supposed that it was the engine cover plate of a Sherman but I was unable to find photos with the same part. The hooks on backside could make think that the plate was vertically positioned.

It very probably comes from a british vehicle as Bostik black compound used to waterproof vehicles during landing can be seen all around the plate.

The plate dimensions are 1210x556 mm. The thickness is 15 mm.

Does anyone have an idea of which vehicle it comes from?

Best Regards,
Raphaël
