Default Fort Rodd Hill

They look like the cases that the ammunition for fort Rodd Hill's twin quick Firing 6 pounders came in.
Maybe Robert Campbell or one of those guys could confirm or not.

C264 is for 6 pdr, it's not long enough for 17 pdr. Ajmac will be along shortly!

Default ammo box

Thats the first one I seen thats not turned into a fuel tank. I had a couple made into extra fuel tanks for across the back of the Jeep to replace the rear seat.
I do recall seeing some on the front of a carrier in another thread.

Default Box lids

I think they are 6 pounder because we had quite a few 6 pounders in storage here during the war and I have found some of the bins located with other 6 pounder parts.

A while ago I found a small pile of weathered but sound lids (and a few turnbuckle catches for them too) for these ammo boxes if anyone is interested...

Cheers

Phill

Default If anyone has a spare....?

I've been looking for 1 or 2 C264 6 round boxes like this for a while. If anyone has one for sale, it would be most appreciated ! Thanks much, Paul
