Default CCKW in British Service

You are probably not getting much of a reply as the British may not have been huge users of the vehicle. I can only think of a couple of images of the CCKW in British service and they are in the UK.

I have very few photos showing the GMC-CCKW 353 in British Service but I do have some of the GMC-CCW 6X4 353 and some GMC-CCKW 352 in service with a Polish Unit in Italy. Photos are from the Polish Institute & Sikorski Museum of London but I cannot find the web address at the moment so you may have to Google it. You would be able to see the markings of this unit if you got some hi-res copies of the photos.

Found it - http://www.cultura.marche.it/cultura...erra/index.asp
links to 516 pages plus of photos on RHS

My pleasure. Sometime searching for lost threads using Google instead of the forumīs search function yields more results.

Are you going to restore a CCKW in British livery?

Hanno
