While I worry about what the floor looks like under that piece of plywood, $800 is a good price for a trailer like that. Hopefully it is saved and not relegated to somebodies yard duties.

It is showing signs of khaki under the current paint. More likely it had the standard tailgate modification at some point in it's life.

As per Robs observations, I have asked the seller for more details of the floor.
He did answer that the floor is “so-so”, I am awaiting his reply with more detailed pics.

4 tie downs on the side are wartime military bantams. Three tie downs are the post war civilian ones.

"Not modified"
Wonder what he means by that as it's obviously modified with a tailgate, the drawbar casting is inverted and the lunette not present. Pretty certain the wiring and lights aren't original at this point. But that's ok because it's "not modified" Though an actual Bantam trailer from WW2 is becoming harder to find. Many reenactors in the US have M100 trailers that have had corner handles cut off and and other things done to back date them. Matt |

So in other words Matt, they’re modified lol
What’s the point of fakery? Something I’m not interested in as are many others.

I've not interest in fakery either. It's common among reenactors over vehicle aficionados CJ-2A's dressed up to look like an MB or an M-100 trailer with the corner handles cut off and the wiring changed to WW2. Neither does a thing to help the value of the vehicle and in fact can reduce it's value.
