Jeez, it's a good job you two live a few hundred miles apart otherwise picture the scene -

Main street Winnie-bison-peg, high noon, the diminutive figure of a woman leaves the saloon and walks to the middle of the street - a shout from the barbers shop doorway where a large hairy humanoid lurks - they face each other down - frying pan against beer can at 50 paces......................

LOL

Little Miss Yappy doesn't have to worry about the swinging saloon doors....she just walks right under them.....problem is though, she can't make it up onto the brass rail most of us use to rest our foot on at the bar.....it's to high for her to reach, let alone, climb up on............

Actually, the distance between London, Ontario and Winterpeg, Manitoba, is 2210 kilometres (1373 miles), according to the Province of Ontario's official Distance Table.

It should be sufficient to keep both of them from doing serious harm to each other...

Jeez, that's two movies you've mentioned in one thread... BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED, and TRUE GRIT. Is there a trend happening here? Has Yappy been sending you home videos you've neglected to share with us?

Yes Snowtractor, Winnipegers haven't changed much in their ways since my childhood. So much of my re-acquainting myself feels like a time warp back decades. Except for the computers and the look Portage and Main...people still pop into the pub to get out of the wind to get blasted in another way though.

(I'm ignoring Mark-O and Jiff for the moment: ...JUST ...for the moment though. )

Karmen, are you trying to talk to my dad again? If so, you'll have to go through his Executive Assistant... ME (family business y'know).

BTW, could ANY man EVER be "ready" for you? Methinks not, without a death-wish. Gremlins have sharp teeth... any man wishing to take you on would need the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch...

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

OK, boys and girls...learning curve commences (Mark, maintain radio silence in Zulu harbour).

GRIT= Group, Range, Indication, Type of fire. Used by infantry units in order to effectively engage the enemy.

G...(Group), i.e. Rifle Section, GPMG, Mortar section . This command indicates by the unit commander which particular weapon available to him is to be employed.

R...(Range) 200 metres, 300 metres, whatever, from your present position.

I...(Indication) usually a reference point from ones position to the target, i.e. lone pine tree (which is as above at xxx metres), go right, small copse below ridge line.

T...(Type of fire) whatever the commander wants...rapid fire, slow rate, neutralize now, fire for effect.

Therefore...

MLU group
Exponential cyberspace
Yappy target
Fire for effect, neutralize now.

Upon successful completion of the mission, target is reported as destroyed.
