Default Side lights with blackout disks

While working on my side lights I discovered a part I hadn’t seen before. It’s a blackout disk for the front side lights

With it installed it makes quite the difference in what is visible.

Has anyone ever come across these disks before or have any documentation for them?

Hello Jordan.

The only blackout discs I have ever seen for that style of side and tail lamp was a black plastic one with a single, central hole, 1/8 “ in diameter. It was placed directly behind either the white or red plastic lens.

I seem to remember the Sexton I restored back in the 1980s had them in the front lights. I've certainly seen them before somewhere!

My Canadian built MK2 Carrier has these in the front side lights, from memory I think the discs are white plastic rather than black but work the same only letting light through the small pinholes.
