Pity they are for a ford David
Have talked to that seller he has quite a bit of gear but he dosent know what the majority of the chev gear suits
Quite pricey on a lot of it too

That would be good if there is Max

Andrew
How did you make out with your mains , have you managed to track some down yet . Some of us may have to go down the same path one day so the info will be handy .

At this stage I am still waiting to hear back from a couple of Oz people but probably the best bet is to get some from the various U.S. suppliers if you have plenty of time and can get them to answer an email
I received replies from egge and kanter so far and the other 5???

Ross Prince has semi finished bearings in 10 and 40 under but that leads to a fair amount of work

Default bearings

These are the bearing sets UPTONS of Corowa had .... I must have bought 15 setsas they were very cheap .... still have to work out which 216 they fit , the old chap there , Mr. Upton said they fit 216 Chevs. There was a large box of them, many packets had broken open and individual pairs were scattered around the box and floor. I asked how much for the whole lot and was told $150 or similar .

Default numbers

jim

Would you believe the area on the box where the number should be is blank !
the shells have numbers on them, very small.

some are:
5246988........looks like rear main

5246980 the thrust flanged centre shell

the other two narrower shell sets of the four dont have a number

The main box has M31155 on it , this has been edited to M31136 in pencil

Default nasco

Mike
These numbers do not show up in my book which goes up to 1954 , will try and find a later book that has the set part numbers ie, M 31136.
