Default Wow..!!

Arlon..
Have you been sneaking up to Stan Reynolds and sneaking them CMP's out under the fence...??
Nice bunch of iron..
Watch out for a one ton Ford with a lowboy trailer, and Ontario Plates.. with three seedy looking characters looking to Poach parts and anything related that is not nailed down..
It will more likely be "The Hammond Barn crew.." a motley lot if there ever was one..
Bob,Rob and Grant..you will probably find their pictures hanging in the post office under "WANTED...Reward"...
Welcome to the forum/..
Post lots of pictures..we love rust..!!

Default March 42 Fords

Nothing for March 27th but I have found a couple assembled here in Australia on March 13th 1942:

F60L Serial 37206 3G19676F SM2104 Mar 13 42

F60L Serial 37147 3G19603F SM2104 Mar 13 42

Presumably the chassis and many other parts for these would have come off the production line at Windsor some months earlier.

Like everyone else, would love to learn more about your collection, and welcome here.

Hi Keith
Thanks for responding from way down under lol. I agree with you most where made at Windsor. In the pile of rust I aquired is a 42 Chev 60cwt Dumptruck Airforce colors. cab very rough but have others. On another truck was the military dump box and on another was the proper hoist so can build it up complete along with my 3 15cwt fords What is nice is it has all the tags. Also have 2 1944 60cwt that where dental trucks but no vans on them one is a firetruck now which was used by Alberta Forestry Service. Some of my trucks pics already on here through the links to Stan Reynolds Museum . Have a Great Day Arlon

Default Calgary trip?

Rob,
Why don't you load up the dental box on a trailer,Come out to the Calgary gun show this weekend with us and we can use it for a camper, make a deal with Arlon,we can go to his place, lift it onto his CMP frame and then come back with us?Sound like a plan? Plus you get to see the biggest gun show in Canada!Think about it.
Arlon,
I will bring the plates with me to the show and you can have a look at them and decide if you can use them.
Regards,Derk.

Default First of all Dirk...

I just spent the last 2 months with a tooth ache and then an $1800.00 dentist bill for a root canal...no plan... so I am not about to sleep in anything dental related!! Enjoy the show, keep your eye open for anything Bofors /HUW related. Call if you see that illusive 32 pattern Mae West. The Fat restoration is coming along. Cheers Rob

Default You paid money to have a tooth pulled!

Rob,
What kind of collector are you spending money foolishly hiring somebody to do something you can do yourself at home.$1800.00 could have been used to rebuild an engine or paint, parts, tires etc. If you needed help, you should have called me over and I would have pulled that sucker out for you and only charged you the price of a Hamburger off of your grill.MMMM.......you sure can cook them.Of course a root canal is a little trickier than just pulling a tooth but the secret is to get in there with a 3/4'' chisel straight in the middle of the tooth and split it in half and then split the 2 halves so you have 4 quarter pieces of the tooth and with a set of needlenose, grab hold and twist out the piece of tooth like removing a fish hook, once all 4 pieces are gone,Rinse the wound by gargling with some vodka, spit it out and then take a swig to kill the pain, pack it with cotton and wait for the hole to heal up.Simple, but it's too late now you have already had it done and paid the money.Call me first the next time you have an ailment and see if I can help first before going elsewhere where they will charge you.
Hope you heal up well and will keep an eye out for bofors stuff.
Derk.
P.S. Arlon,I guess you will have to wait on the dental box!
