Could anyone suggest what '3 MED.' stood for? They had 1938 trucks issued to them at Kingston (Ontario). Was it Medium Battery?

Hi David;

Yes, 3rd Medium Battery, R.C.A., a pre-war Permanent Force medium battery localized at Kingston, Ontario.

Mobilized: Serial 68 - 3rd Medium Battery, R.C.A., C.A.S.F., as a component battery of the 1st Medium Brigade, R.C.A., C.A.S.F. (Corps Troops), for service with the Canadian Active Service Force under General Order Number 135 of 1939 - effective 1 September 1939.

Cheers

Interesting, thanks! The allocation was in June 1938 I think.

Do I take it that 'A' Battery and 'B' Battery were also RCA?
