Default BB2 - Fundraising

Get 'em while they are hot.

For Sale: 12 Ottawa Rotters Hats
As per the photo, the hats are embroidered with a maple leaf with the word Canada beneath. On the wearer's right side panel are the words Ottawa Rotters CMP - the photo does not show it but that's what it reads. The left side panel may be embroidered with other info (my hat will say 1945 HUP). They are made of 65% Cotton (hand-picked by well-paid non-exploited happy people) and 35% free-range polyester.

These rare hats (12 only available) are being sold at auction in support of the upcoming Bob's BBQ 2 event to be held in Hammond Ontario sometime in late August or early September (can't make up our minds, cuz other event planners haven't made up their minds...).

Here is how the auction works: The minimum bid for each hat is $15.00 Canadian Dollars. One bidder = one hat (unless you are insanely rich and have a lot of dough to waste). Find a colour you like. Identify its number (1-12) and place a bid by replying to this thread. Shipping costs will be added if you are too busy/far away to visit us this summer. Bids will close 31 March 2007. Winning bidders will receive their hat(s) upon receipt of payment.

So, bid away to support our fun summer event!

Er, Bob...we are raising the funds to cover some of your out of pocket costs for BB2...I therefore disqualify you from the bidding.

Alex,

It is good until someone else trumps it - i.e. bids more than you initially bid. Are you suggesting a buy it now price?

BUy it now..??
That would be interesting...as long as this was a limited production run of 12 Hats only ,it could be an annual thing...12 hats..auction... with the BBB # on it..this year being BBB#2
Which should be on the hat so ya can't sneak in with last years hat..
I don't want to find out after I boght a $50.00 buy it now hat that a second run of a zillion identical hats will be sold at the do for $10.00

Your choice..but must apply Before the first bid so I'm out..

However, those who have already ordered their hats, will get the additional embroidery. My error for leading you down that path and for not sorting it out earlier.

As of today, 15 March 2007, All other remaining hats SHALL NOT include the price of additional embrodiery. Thanks for your understanding.

Mike, See anything you like? You may send payment via Canada Post (and storage) to:

562 Latour Cres
Ottawa Ontario Canada
K4A 1N6

Shipping costs will be added. Or you can wait until Chatsworth and or BB2...

By the way, there are seven hats remaining. $30.00 gets the hat, embroidering on both panels and contributes to the BB2 fund.

Alex,

Now that you mention it, there will be...A black hat would be appropriate given his "tankless" years of service with the armoured corps.

Six left!

Grant, have you decided what your truck will be or shall we embroider the following?

Default Heinz 57.... Hardly

It is so much easier to make the hat match the hardware than the other way around that I'm going to buy the black hat, do the figuring out of what the truck really was (no data plates remain) and then make the hat nomenclature fit the vehicle nomenclature.
As an aside, since all the "good guys" used to be distinguished by white hats and any white hats put in the greasy rotter world would promptly become black, those of us with dark coloured hats are merely pre-empting the natural processes.

Grant
