Default Normandy request

Are there any UK vehicle owners going over to Normandy that wouldn’t mind bringing back some Carrier parts for me?

An Italian colleague has part of the cable conduit and an antenna mount and is looking for someone to hand them to, as the cable conduit is too awkward to post.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Tom

I'm sure I can accommodate Tom, and we're not a million miles apart on this side. I'll be with about 100 other motorcyclists at the campsite that the MVT are at.

Your Italian mate can find me there in the evenings or early mornings, but we will be in the 4 acre field at the back of the main site. Most of the other bikers will be able to point him to me and the owners know me too, so he could leave it with them during the day. I can also answer my mob at those times at the site.

PM me if you need email and or Mob number

Ron

Ron you're a star.

My mate will be taking his G3L I believe. His name is Luca Gio, you've probably already met him, or he'll probably already know your name. If you could send me your mobile number I'll pass it on to him.

Let me know when you're back in the UK and I will come down and collect the bits from you. It will give me a good excuse to come down and see your amazing collection. I wish I was going to Normandy on my bike, but it's nowhere near ready. I joined you on a road run a few years back at the Ramsbury show on my WD/CO. It was its first ever run, and the main drive sprocket came off on the first hill out of the village! I spent the rest of the day trying to catch up , without overstressing the engine! I finally made it into Netheravon as you were all sitting down to a cup of tea!

Are you in need of any original pannier racks/bags or blackout masks? I have spares that I don't need and looking to trade for parts if you have any carrier stuff spare.

Thanks again.

Tom

I'll PM my phone number. I remember the Ramsbury weekend. Most memorable was it pissed with rain on one day and the DR ahead of me and my mate Tim had deserted his corner (drop off system) and we got thoroughly lost, wet and cold......But hey we do this for fun!

I can certainly always use panniers and BO masks but not sure I've got anything other than cash to swap? Ron
