Military utility ID
At 11:05:05:03 in this movie
https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/F03705/ A military ute drives past. What is it ? A Chevy ? But it looks like a 1938 model ? Its the car based utility but with a commercial truck type grill- never seen this before myself. Interesting scenes in this movie https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/F10251/

Hi Mike, I think it is a 1939 Chev. The commercials carried the grill over from the previous year.
Here is a 1939 ute, close but not the same. (USA. v AUST.) Regards Rick.

Hi rick
It doesn't appear to be built on the light commercial chassis, which of course has the truck style cab . I still tend to lean towards a 1938 car based ute eg same chassis and wb as the 1938 chevy sedan. The 39 car/ute grill is completely different .
