When I look at furnace filter CFTO add-ons for my western '74 Pattern, which of the fol is the correct one?

Large spaces in the expanded metal or small spaces?

The one on the right. The larger one would not stop branches that could damage the alternator.



If you really need, I could dig out the CFTO which specifies the size of expanded metal.

Very loose interpretations for installation too! Spaces horizontal and spaces vertical. Bar stock inwards and bar stock outside.

74-09745 is only 20 off from what I intend to mark mine as. CFR 09725 was a favourite ride back in my time....

Some nicely made some not so
My view is they look cheap on a mutt tho

Personally, I don't think these grills look that bad, and they were certainly better than having to change radiators every time the operators decided to push a little bush. There was another modification for a full metal guard that mounted on the front bumper. Now that was ugleeee.
