Exclamation Words

Korowa Karmen, you've got all sorts of words to learn...
Lolly (as in "do your lolly), Lolly (as in "chewing a lolly"),
Words like Konk, Snoz, bugle, all describe the same thing
You'll meet people that are bonzer, wankers, drongos, beauts, sorts and bastards.
It is OK to call a mate a bastard. It is a sign of affection.
While you are meeting these mongrells, you can suck down a tinny, chew on a snag and light up a durrie while we bung on some damper. Just don't end up a little Mozart and Lizt... (Thanks Keefy)

You got me Googling, Max It seems you're talking about "sweets treats" , judging by my search ... well, except for what I found searching for fantails

When people say Lolly/Lollies to me, I think of Lollypops which are suckers (hard candies on a stick).

http://www.lolliesaustralia.com/do/t/lollies

Orange / chocolate filled balls, with hard candy coating - very popular at the movies in Australia
http://australian-food.com/lollies/jaffas.html

Fantails as in Australian birds?
http://montereybay.com/creagrus/fantails.html

Now I'm hungry and have to go make a snack!!!!!!!!!!!

Note to self: Be sure to have my when I meet Howard so that I can use it as a teaching tool to help him learn just who is talking funny when we talk. I'm sure my teaching tool will make him agree that Korowa Karmen is right, and he is wrong

Default airmiles

We are pleased to provide the following information about our Collector Account Merge process.

While the Terms and Conditions of the AIR MILES® Reward Program do not allow for the transferring of AIR MILES® reward miles from one Collector Account to another; the Primary Cardholder can redeem their reward miles for anyone they wish, or, AIR MILES® Collector Accounts can be merged. To complete a merge request, here’s what we need:

1) via e-mail:

The Primary Cardholder of the Collector Account that is to be merged (closed) is the person who needs to log onto our Web site and submit the request. They will need to provide the Collector Account Number they wish their Account merged to.

Their Collector Account will then be closed and all reward miles will be “transferred” to the remaining active Collector Account.

Once the merge has been conducted we will notify you by return e-mail.

2) via telephone:

The Primary Cardholder of the Collector Account that is to be merged (closed) is the person who needs to call our Customer Care Centre at 1-888-AIR MILES (247-6453), in the Toronto area 416-226-5171 where one of our Customer Care Specialists will be happy to assist them. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. ET to 9:00 p.m. local time, and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

They will be asked to verify their Collector Account and provide the Collector Account Number they wish their Account merged to.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide this information to you and value your participation in the AIR MILES® Reward Program.

Thank you for your e-mail.

Regards,

Kelli Ann
AIR MILES® Customer Care Specialist

Wow Sean, great that they can do that. Really good to know for future reference for people with airmiles.

It would have to top my original thread I started when I first joined (almost 4 yrs ago!!!!) for searching about my Uncle. That thread stands at 10970 (mostly me posts )

I think other threads have topped that number though. In the software forums???

I found it remarkable recently when we celebrated 50,000 posts that nearly 7% of them were by Karmen alone! What were the other 1300 members doing?

Hi Dennis ... and yes, I'm looking forward to seeing you there too.
I can't believe how many MLU-ers I'm going to meet in person over there. I greatly look forward to that!

One step closer, I got my passport photos today. It's a bit of a thrill to think about being 52 and am about to have my very first passport ever, and my first time ever to be airbourne across oceans to land on another continent. Maybe many of you have been there, done that, and its irritating because the novelty has worn off, but me?

I feel like a kid at Christmas and Santa looks like a or a Kangaroo ... hey, wait a minute. I AM a kid still!!!
