Wonder how many lost Buffalos, DUKW's and Carriers turned up years after the war when all that flooded land was finally reclaimed? I recall at least one carrier being found a few years back with three or four occupants pinned under it still. It had slipped off a muddy bank and rolled over and for the families, the men had been missing all these years.

Great links to some neat pictures.

While quickly checking out some of the albums I came across this one. Check out the door on the CMP. I appears to have the anti-freeze do not drain warning stencilled onto it.

Hey Guys , in the Buffalo's , at least in a few of them , there are soldiers and officers of the famous Regiment, Le Régiment de la Chaudière !

I live near today's militia unit HQ and was a member once..

Wow great pictures.

Thanks.

Hi John:

Many thanks for the link. The segment on the 1940 US Army Maneuvers in Louisiana was a great help for additional photos of immediate pre-war US vehicles. I know of them and have some photos but most of these were new.
Bill
