Agree,Brian..Hero's all..
The flower of the nation..
And to think of the four stooges in Ottawa running this country..makes me puke..BUT..it took a little 5' woman to come home and sort those fools out..
God bless her..
A rolling gallery of our hero's is here..by putting the cursor on the picture a brief description pops up..

Thanks for this, Brian & Alex both. At this moment, my heart goes out to their comrades-in-arms as well as their families.

This kinda makes the political bullshit going on in Ottawa right now seem a bit, er... trifling, doesn't it?

May these wonderful men RIP. They shall not be forgotten.

Fine men all and a tribute to their nation...a nation that, hopefully, honours their sacrifice. There is a lot of talk here in the U.S. about American casualties suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan...over 4700 killed at last count. What is missed in this discussion is that Canada's sacrifice, on a per capita basis, if I can use that term, Canadian soldiers are being killed at very closely the same rate as U.S. servicemen. Some may belittle the contribution that Canada as a nation has made in the war on terrorism, but at the level of the individual soldier, a Canadian has just as much chance of dying as an American.

Never let us or the world forget this fact.

Default Repatriation Ceremony - Monday Dec. 8, 2008

Highway of Heroes - Repatriation Ceremony - Dec. 8, 2008

This afternoon at 2:00 pm the bodies of the 3 soldiers arrive back home in Canada at CFB Trenton.

Toronto radio station CFRB (and others) are providing extensive coverage today of the Repatriation ceremony
and of the 172 km journey on the Highway of Heroes from CFB Trenton to the forensic centre in Toronto.

As usual, large numbers of people are expected to line the many bridges and overpasses to pay their respects to the soldiers and show their support to their families and fellow soldiers.
