Blimey Radek. This is the one you talked to me about recently. Can you give more information. Who, where, what? I'm afraid there are scammers out there. I have been following a thread on another forum about motorcycles that come up for sale on ebay. That are not actually for sale by their owners. Ron

Have somebody any experiences with information from the bank? I have the acount No. IBAN. atc.
I know that the acount was registered in the Luton in the HALIFAX BANK PLC.

Still I have contacted the police in my town.

So an address in Scotland and a bank in Luton, Bedfordshire? Google Earth seems to show High Street, Perth as shops and offices. I wonder if your bank can help? Scammers seem to use Western Union for some reason.

Radek greetings...sorry to hear about your troubles..I will get some of our club members from the Perth area to check this out but to my mind you have been scammed by some creature located further south..however all may not be lost as your bank should be able to refund your monies if you paid by card or paypal..in any case I will put out the word..best regards malcolm

Hi Radek,
I remember this bike being sold on eBay a few years ago and I believe the seller was is Sydney, Australia and I have no doubt this seller was legitimate but I believe that another person has used the photographs from that listing to advertise the bike elsewhere and then sell to you. With an UK bank account I have my doubts that they are from Perth in Western Australia. I remember speaking to the seller from Sydny and I am sure that the bike was sold within Australia. Perhaps someone knows the current owner of the real bike! I have sent you a PM
Darren

I suspect this would have been for Perth in the UK (which is more believable), but sadly it does look like a scam (from posts here and on HMVF).

Hi All,

Only just heard about this yesterday! Here's what I know about it, this Welbike was on ebay Aus. 2? years ago, and sold to someone in Scotland, then a mate of mine bought it there, and I transported it for him, it's now being restored in Holland.

This happened early November last year, was the fake auction after that??
Was it on ebay??

Radek, you better email me direct, so we can try to find out what happened.

welbike(at)welbike.net

Cheers,

Lex Schmidt
