Question desert style wear aka the 'Two Types'

Not sure if there is better section for this, but here goes...

There are accounts of relaxed rules concerning dress regulation during the western desert war of WWII. Photos do show this particularly with the LRDG and SAS, as well as officers.

What I'm looking for is examples for the common soldier, but photos tend to show them in pretty much regulation attire, though there might be some mix and matching of wool articles with KD, but all are army issue.

So does anyone know of any civilian clothing they would wear, or even captured stock from the Italians? Photos aren't necessary, a good description would suffice.

regards,
Jack
