Default CMP In Sask auction...

this is the way we find them out here in the Prairies, rust free, pretty straight, maybe a runner. To far away for me, but if it was only a Ford Lynx! Cheers Rob in Manitoba

Default Nice early Ford model....

Assuming the rubber steering wheel and rectangular dash is original it looks like an early model......

I love those deep recessed wheel rims...... this is the second time I see this arrangement.

They have apparently have used the back inside or inside half part of a 16 inch rim and welded the sucker to a 20 inch rim...... the result is a deeply inset tire.... which ust rub on the frame/springs on a tight turn...... all the rim studs that originally held the two halves of the 16 in. rims together are still visible.

Wonder what it will fetch $$$$$

I'd ask Myke, but my guess is that he is halfway there by now...

That auction is only 40 miles from me so I'll be there. There's no Ford script under the lights so it'll be a 42 or early 43 I'd guess. I might go look at it tomorrow.

I went and checked it out today. The adaptation they made to the rims allows them to have dual wheels on the back. It has a hand operated hoist on it so I wonder how high of sides the farmer put on the box to need dual wheels. He's made a fix to the front of the box to strengthen it where the hoist mounts.
The box was made by Brantford Coach and Body but it's in pretty rough shape. When I go to the auction I'll take a piece of sandpaper so I can read the box serial number. There aren't any other data plates on it and no serial # on the frame either.
It had a roof hatch but it's been sheeted over. It has a pintle but the castings have been chopped away to make clearance when the box is raised. The front push bar looks funny mounted ahead of the bumper like that.

I took in the auction today. The truck sold to someone from Lloydminster for $3500. The motor had been rebuilt a number of years ago but only had a few hundred miles on it since then.
I bought a 2C1 box that's uncut and still straight complete with endgate and a friend got about half a F15A in disassembled parts that included a lot of the hard to find bits like push bar and pintle setup.
