Default What's Rain

Hi all
Well we missed out again but the only thing we had in common with Max was a lightening strike on a tree that caused us to be called out to a 40 acre grass fire. Whoopee F.

Default Lightning strikes

Hi Max,
Keep an eye on the grass growth around the tree site in the next few seasons. An old riverina guy once told me that the ozone released from the lightnening strike fertilzed the soil. Will be an interesting test case.

What ever turns you on

No, seriously, Max, it is your livelihood so I understand. This April in England has been the hottest on record and dry in our part. At least all the blossom is looking good, not killed by frost or battered by wind and rain as is normally.

Default IT'S RAINING

IT'S RAINING!!
We were down to the last rung on the two house tanks and the biggie storage tank was also sick. So far about 10mm but it is steady. I'll be outside with the soap in a minute and have a wash.

Default Wash The Blitz?

I don't have one at the moment. I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a C60S for Project Phoenix.
BTW - just looked and we are up to 20mm of rain and it is still coming down.

Bob, how can you cope without a blitz, I'd be an awful mess if I didn't have a blitz.

Default Bring back the Drought, please!

You can keep yer B***** rain!

It's been raining here on and off for weeks now, and been a major PITA with building our shed. Contractors won't come, excavators can't dig, etc.... Finally got the footing trenches dug, but too wet to pour concrete, so of course, the saturated, waterlogged clay starts to collapse back into the trenches!

AARRGGHH!

And now they say heavy rain is expected for the next 2 days!

Backyard looks like the Somme:

Default Rain & Sheds

Hi all

Up to 0900 today we have had 42mm.

Tony, where is your preparation and planning. We have just lived through a massive drought when you could have built fifty sheds and you build one now??

Max, I know, I am hanging out for another Blitz even though, unfortunately, this one has to be a Chevrolet.

Bob

Max, if you want more, take as much rain as possible before you send it over our way!
Last night we got nearly 20mm, trenches now have 100mm of water in them:

Stop whinging, ya git. Simply dig yer trenches deeper, put in sandbags and duckboard, then don khaki and your tin hat. An SMLE should complete the package.

Carry on, chop-chop.

You can't win with this wet stuff.
I pumped 4" out of our inground pool twice in the last week because it was overflowing.
Anzac Day was a total washout with no parades in Newcastle or Lake Macquarie area.
We still had 16 green machines turn up on standby at Wangi Wangi RSL.

Stunning sunrise, Max!

Love the foreground object of interest too. Looks like you're in for a bit more weather then.
