I after reading many posts here for that past several months I felt that I should introduce myself and share some pics of my carrier and some of the kit and ces that I have recently acquired.
I purchased Brad Mills Canadian Mk1. In my opinion it is an amazing restoration whose engine simply purrs. I have been collecting weapons for years and only now have purchased a WWII fighting vehicle. I was watching the History channels Top Ten Fighting vehicles and noticed that the carrier was number 7. It should a great deal of footage of the carrier having 50 cals mounted. So having a 50 I acquired a mount. A little over kill and not original standard equipment...it was used extensively. So what do you think..over kill? The mount has been adapted to slide up and off the carrier. Yesterday I stopped by a buddys house who I know through gun collecting and knowing he had a carrier many years ago I scooped up many pieces of kit and ces items that were not with the carrier when I bought it. I understand some of the stuff is very rare. |

that's about as good a carrier as you are ever likely to find in my opinion and i also like the 50.cal mount, (a typical field modification) not bad for a first vehicle

Thanks guys,
Unfortunately I dont have the time, patience or physical resources to restore vehicles. I can and do appreciate the history behind all that I have and want to get. For instance I have recently picked up a 1960 Ferret Scout Car Mk2/3. There are many around but to find one that is in great shape and one with a verifiable and very interesting history is a challenge. I found that Ferret and have actually licenced it for the road (Ontario). |
