Default FWD - SA Military Vehicle Museum

Mike Cecil - the Museum is working towards restoring this truck. Firstly, how much can they get donated from all the left over stuff at the Memorial, and secondly, did you ever commit my FWD drawings to a CD?

Bob

Great to hear they're working on this truck, but I don't think Mike is able to speak for the Memorial though...

Bob,

First and foremost I do NOT have any fingers 'in the pie', as you so bluntly and indelicately put it.

Second, as Keith has already quite rightly stated, I cannot speak for the AWM. From the moment I retired from my position there some 3 years ago, I have not spoken for, or on behalf of, the Memorial, and I maintain no official ties to the organization.

I do provide answers to queries from my friends who still work there, in just the same way that I answer queries and questions from a wide variety of people from around the world.

Any queries or questions I may have for the staff at the Memorial are addressed to the Duty Curator of the section concerned, in just the same way as any other member of the general public.

I suggest your questions are far better addressed privately to the Head of Military Heraldry and Technology at the AWM - not to a former employee on a public website.

Mike C

Is this the WW1 vintage FWD, not a WW2 HAR1? I think it is the one I saw when I visited the museum to copy the Marmon Herrington winch controls.

Hi all - this vehicle is the one at the Museum. I have to dig my CDs out of storage to post some images. Mike, my comments were just a bit of banter so upsetting you was not intentional.
